The M1280 JLTV (Joint Light Tactical Vehicle) is a modern American light tactical vehicle. The first prototypes of the car were made in 2005, and the small-series production started in 2016. The drive is provided by a single motorGale Banks Engineering 866T with a capacity of 6.6 liters. The maximum speed is estimated at approx. 110 km / h.The presented vehicle was developed in-houseOshkosh Defense for the needs of the US armed forces. It is assumed that the JLTV vehicles (in various versions and variants) will partially replace the increasingly worn-out vehicles from the HUMVEE family. Compared to these vehicles, the new generation of American vehicles provides much better ballistic protection, but also guarantees greater payload with the same or better properties for driving on the road and off-road. It is worth adding that vehiclesJLTV is to be equipped not only by the US Army, but also by the US Marine Corps and special forces. It is likely that vehicles will be exported to: Slovenia, Montenegro, Lithuania and Portugal.
