Rapido is pleased to offer another ULTIMATELY CANADIAN freight car in HO Scale, the NSC 3294 cu ft Mechanical Reefer.

Put aside all those American-style reefer imitations! This is the real deal, truly Canadian reefer!

Built exclusively for the Canadian Pacific Railway in 1968, these mechanical reefers were equipped with meat rails, and all were designed for moving hung sides of fresh beef from western Canada to the east. Considered by some to be the Cadillacs of the North American reefer fleet, these lasted in service from the late 1960s through 2002.

Most of these cars retained their CP Rail Red Script schemes though their entire service lives, while some were repainted into the classic Multimark scheme. These cars will look right at home mixed into a consistent or being spotted at that ever-busy packing plant!
